Bacote is a very small tree that grows natively in Central America. Their size is normally only found in 5 to 15 inch diameter trees. The wood is extremely dense and has many properties similar to Rosewood. Its coloring is a rich medium brown similar to our native Pecan and has prominent woodgrain markings.
